Pokémon Go will soon be available on the Apple Watch, Niantic Labs announced at today’s Apple event. The Apple Watch app will display how far the player needs to walk to hatch an egg, the required experience points to reach the next level, and additional info about the player’s fitness. The app will also let players see when a pokémon appears or when a pokéstop is nearby without looking at their smartphone.
According to a representative from Niantic Labs, Pokémon Go has been downloaded over 500 million times since its launch this summer, and people have walked over 4.6 billion kilometers while playing the game. The Apple Watch app is scheduled for release this year.
